Pretty good Food! Very authentic to Cuba and the traffic of people coming in dies indicate they do a good job, however the food is even better. Will definitely go back.

Never had Cuban food before and this was GOOD!! I ordered a few dishes and my tab was a bit high for a place surrounded in all directions by other eateries. But the food was really good. Just a tad pricey.

I visited La Negra Tiene Tumbao a few days ago and I was quite satisfied with the experience. The place has a relaxed atmosphere, with Cuban details that are not saturated, but that give it identity. They attended me quickly and with good treatment since I arrived, without exaggerations or delays. I tried the roasted piglet accompanied by Moorish rice, cassava with mojo and ripe bananas. The meat was well seasoned and juicy, with crispy skin. The cassava is soft and with the right sauce, without excess garlic or fat. The rice is well done, without being dry or add. You can see that they respect traditional recipes, but with good quality management and presentation. We also ordered old clothes and a fish fillet with garlic, both equally good. The portions are generous and the prices are in line with what they serve. The mojitos were well prepared, balanced, not very sweet. And for dessert, the coconut flan was a hit. As for the service, the staff was attentive, knew the menu well and there were no long waiting times between dishes, even with the restaurant quite full. I thought it was a well-managed place, ideal for tasty and unpretentious food. I would definitely put it on my list of recommended places if you like authentic Cuban food

Got the ropa vieja with a papa rellena and it was so good! Their food has a home made quality with fair prices.

Food was excellent! I’m Mexican American and came here with my Cuban friend and we loved it. My kids loved it! I ordered the bistec de puerco and it was so good.

Since my go to La Viña closed I’ve been on the lookout for authentic affordable Cuban cuisine. This is as close as I’ve gotten. I wish they had more variety (bistec empanizado milanesa) or gambas al mojo de ajo) but the options are plentiful. The croquettes taste like my Abuelita’s and the Cuban Sandwich hit the spot. Will go again. It’s nothing fancy but it’s good value.

Unpretentious hole in the wall with amazing Caribbean Creole cooking. Reasonable prices since it is not in a high rent area. We came here because we love the name. The restaurant is named after a popular song by that eternal icon of Cuban music, Celia Cruz. (Don’t tell the estate lawyers cause they’ll shut it down). When here in a Friday night 2 hours before they closed. The menu was limited because they were running out of items for the day. This is a great sign because everything had been made fresh that day. I had the grilled chicken breast with onions while my wife had the shrimp in red sauce. Both were really great. Plenty of fried ripe plantains.
